About

Home of Mershon Builders

In 1952, Jim Mershon went into business building houses the only way he knew how: honestly, well, and with the customer's happiness in mind.  Over 60 years later, his three sons - Jim, Dave and Tom - continue to carry on that tradition.  Through the years, skills were acquired, tools were worn out and replaced, housing trends have come and gone, and Dad retired.  Still, the customer's satisfaction with and trust in Mershon Builders remains the end goal.  We want you to feel comfortable letting us into your home, whether it's to build the house of your dreams, the kitchen you always imagined, the bathroom you finally decided to remodel or the outside space you've yearned for.  We can handle the job from the permit process through the final inspection.

Their longevity in the industry can be attributed to those original ideas.  Each project is evaluated and estimated with your ideas - design, cost and quality - in mind.  Someone is on site to handle questions, concerns and refinements to facilitate achieving the planned completion date.

Upholding their reputation means keeping an eye on employees, using respected and trusted subcontractors, maintaining a safe and clean work site and above all, listening to you.  We want you to feel safe about work being done in your home and confident in your decision to use Mershon Builders.  You will not be disappointed.

With three partners come three different areas of expertise . Mershon Builders as your general contractor will call upon the strength of each brother throughout your project's process. Jim's years of experience and ability to see the big picture are particularly helpful when planning your project. He can often advise clients about the best way to overcome an obstacle and/or see another way to accomplish goals. In addition to being an accomplished builder, Dave is also a fully liscensed electrician. Tom's attention to detail and need for perfection is most apparent when making decisions about finish work. All three work together and rely on each other's strengths. The results are happy clients who provide many referrals.

Shared values, exceptional work ethic and high moral standards have been passed from generation to generation, with grandsons now working, ensuring that quality is maintained. Believing in a reponsibility to "give back" to the community is evidenced by Mershon Builders willingness to sponsor community teams and donate hours of service by all three brothers to their local churches, service clubs, and other charitable organizations.
